Campusyoga - a complete success
The University Health Management organised a campus yoga day in the summer semester.
What a beautiful day! On 19 July 2022, Campus Yoga 2022 took place for the first time. The University Health Management team organised a day to support students and employees in shaping their personal everyday life.
7 a.m.: The campus yoga day with yoga teacher Anja von alittlebitmore from Munich started in beautiful morning sunshine. The Rondell was filled with about 80 students and employees and spread a pleasant mood - a round of yoga to get in the mood for the (working) day and the upcoming exam period. We rounded off the Morning Flow with a delicious smoothie from the Studentenwerk Oberfranken before heading to the library or to the workplace.
12 noon: Before lunch, a more challenging flow followed, which made everyone sweat in the hot temperatures. However, the sunbathing lawn in the Ecological-Botanical Garden was the perfect place to get a little shade under sunshades and trees and to activate body and mind. Afterwards, the sports economics graduating class provided the participants with fruit cups and vegan cake to start the second half of the day invigorated and balanced.
5 p.m.: At the end of the day, almost 40 people met again for a calmer flow with many mobilisation and stretching elements in the ÖBG. In still hot temperatures, the participants listened to Anja's guidance and enjoyed the balance and relaxation of this yoga session.
To round off this special day with a pleasant change between work/study and balance, everyone enjoyed a cosy finale after the Calm Down Flow with catering from Café Roulant of the Lang Bakery from Bayreuth and background music by solo artist Jonathan Neupärtl. At this finale, the organising team realised once again how important it is to have a healthy balance between tension and relaxation, between work and active breaks, and between active study and recreation.
The University Health Management team would like to thank everyone who took part, the ÖBG team, the Central Technology team, who interrupted their mowing work so that the participants could yog in peace, Jonathan Neupärtl for his great musical accompaniment, Mr. Reuther and his team from SWO for the delicious smoothies, to the sports economics graduating class for the tasty midday snacks, to the Lang bakery for the culinary delights in the evening, to AOK Bayern for its financial support and above all to Anja, the wonderful yoga teacher, for her great guidance and valuable words.
