Children's University 2025 again a success - Dates for 2026 confirmed
The topics ranged from artificial intelligence, light and cold, the perfect book, to fair play.
The Children's University 2025 was once again a complete success. The young visitors were thrilled by the presentations by Prof. Dr. Heike Leutheuser on "AI on an Adventure: How AI Superpowers Save Lives," Prof. Dr. Markus Retsch on "Light and Cold: The Cool Secret!", Prof. Dr. Tina Hartmann on "How Do You Conjure the Perfect Book?", and Prof. Dr. Melanie Birke on "Hey, You're Cheating! On the Secrets of Fair Play."
The presentations covered:
Prof. Dr. Heike Leutheuser: The numerous visitors were able to actively participate in the lecture using colorful voting cards. Among other things, it was explained how AI can help us stay healthy.
Prof. Dr. Markus Retsch: Professor Retsch's presentation focused on light and cold. Together with the children, he explored the secret powers of light.
Prof. Dr. Tina Hartmann: Together with the children, she conjured up the perfect book. It's no secret that Bayreuth professors can sometimes perform magic. At the end of her children's lecture, Tina Hartmann transformed a stuffed animal into a real poodle, much to the children's delight.
The finale of the Children's University with Prof. Melanie Birke was also a fantastic experience. She demonstrated how to cheat in the game.
The accompanying program, consisting of lectures and guided tours for the children's parents, was also very well received.
