The University of Bayreuth is involved in various activities of the initiative. In the “A Space for Innovation Artists” series, Prof. Dr. Laura König, former Professor of Public Health Nutrition, explains how she researched eating behavior using an app in order to better understand the reasons for choosing certain meals and foods in everyday life and to develop strategies to promote healthy eating.

The successors to the “A Space for Innovation Artists” series are the INNOHubs - stories about innovative places to learn, research and work in the Nuremberg metropolitan region. Here, the focus is less on an individual and more on teamwork. The Chair of Digital Health with a focus on data science will present such an INNOHub in a video campaign in the coming months. “Stay tuned!”

The InnoHikes app, in which the University of Bayreuth and BayBatt are also involved with a challenge, offers a playful approach to discovering innovations. In a digital-analog scavenger hunt, players learn more about innovations and career opportunities in and from the region and can also win cool main prizes such as an e-bike, an iPad Air or exclusive guided tours and visits. In the challenge of the Bavarian Center for Battery Technology, participants will receive information about research and study programs at BayBatt.

The ‘Innovationskunst’ initiative of science and industry showcases the wealth of innovation in the Nuremberg metropolitan region. As the University of Bayreuth, we develop innovative ideas and research results on an almost daily basis and are happy to join forces with regional players to make our strengths visible in location marketing.

President of the University of Bayreuth Prof. Dr. Stefan Leible
