ISO 27001 certificate extended by three years

“I am delighted that our ISO 27001 certificate has once again been extended for three years by TÜV Hessen as the certifying body,” explains Prof. Susanne Tittlbach, Vice-President for Digitalisation, Innovation and Sustainability, “and I would like to thank everyone involved who has once again done a superb job in achieving this success.” Prof. Torsten Eymann adds: “The auditors have independently confirmed my impression, as CIO of the University of Bayreuth, that our information security management system has a high level of maturity, enabling us to quickly meet the ever-increasing demands of information security.”

“Regularly reviewing the information security management system helps us to identify IT risks and to configure our services to be resilient and operate them reliably,” says Dr Hans-Jörg Bauer, Head of the IT Service Centre. Information Security Officer Ralf Stöber emphasises: “With ISO 27001, the University of Bayreuth holds certification in accordance with the internationally recognised standard for information security management. This provides international and national partners from academia and industry with proof of compliance with the recognised requirements in this area. Many well-known partners of the University of Bayreuth have already requested our certificate and are delighted with it.”
