The services offered by the Diversity Service Center in cooperation with qualified trainers and coaches - in person or online
At the University of Bayreuth, people differ from each other in many ways, e.g. in their age, gender and sexual identity, their origin and socialization, their physical and mental abilities, or even in their ideological orientation.
In cooperation with qualified trainers and coaches, the Diversity Service Center offers various learning and development formats to promote an appreciative approach to diversity at the University of Bayreuth and to counteract discrimination in the university context:
Several times a year, we organize workshops for employees, especially for scientific and non-scientific managers as well as for people with consulting tasks. The contents include conscious, respectful and constructive handling of diversity, the examination of one's own attitudes (implicit bias), as well as the recognition, elimination and prevention of disadvantages (anti-discrimination).
Within departments and teams, the differences between the people involved can pose major challenges for cooperation. At the same time, this diversity holds great potential for productivity, creativity and innovation.
If you perceive yourselves as a heterogeneous team and if you want to connect and grow together, we will organise a tailor-made workshop for team development in German or English together with you.
Coaching is an umbrella term for resource and solution-oriented consulting and change processes. Diversity coaching refers to change issues related to diversity and disadvantage in one's own professional biography, work situation and career development. The offer is aimed at scientific and non-scientific managers.
All three formats are offered in presence as well as online (as webinars or video coaching). You will find current information on our website - we would be happy to advise you personally!
