Vishay Technology Award presented to outstanding students at Bayreuth University's Faculty of Engineeringen
For the 18th consecutive year, three engineering students from Bayreuth were awarded the Vishay Technology Prize in 2025.

In 2025, three engineering students from Bayreuth were once again awarded the Vishay Technology Prize. This prize is awarded by the Vishay company in collaboration with the Bayreuth Faculty of Engineering to particularly outstanding students. The prize emphasises the importance of engineering studies, especially for the regional economy in Upper Franconia with its strong industry. In addition to handmade glass souvenirs, the three winners received a total prize money of 3,000 euros. The prizes were awarded by the management of Vishay Electronic GmbH during a ceremony at Vishay's European headquarters in Selb. The mayor of Selb, Ulrich Pötzsch, was also present at the ceremony. Jury members Prof. Fischerauer and Prof. Moos attended the award ceremony on behalf of the Faculty of Engineering.
