Children's University 2026: The selection process has begun

The popular Children's University will take place again at the University of Bayreuth in 2026. On four dates (June 24, July 1, July 8, and July 15, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), professors will give lectures specifically designed for children between the ages of seven and twelve. The action-packed lectures are anything but boring: bangs, smoke, bright colors, various experiments with hands-on components – there's plenty to see at the Children's University Bayreuth.

Admission to the Children's University is free, and registration is not required. The event will take place in the Audimax. Parents and accompanying adults must remain outside; an exciting alternative program will be offered for them.

This year, children will once again have the opportunity to choose their four favorites from ten suggestions.

The suggestions that the professors have come up with for the children this time include a disgusting biotope, fantastic liquids, children's rights, treasures in the trash, magic with chemistry, stories that heal, species extinction, superheroes in sports, a children's musical, and pirates in global trade.
