v.l.t.r. Niclas Burmeister, Anthony Schally, Anna-Luisa Hagl

Anna-Luisa Hagl, Niclas Burmeister and Anthony Schally started without an idea. They had all registered for the "5-Euro-Business" seminar and only then came together as a team. "It quickly became clear to us that we would have to find out what we had in common in order to find a topic that we were all enthusiastic about and that we were willing to put our heart and soul and work into," says Niclas. The common ground was quickly found: All three are studying sports economics in the Master's programme, albeit in different semesters. "In conversation, we then came up with the sports aptitude test and the fact that each had to train a different area more. That's how the idea developed."

The idea

Bring coaches together with people interested in sports for 1-1 coaching: Often the inhibition to join a sports club to learn something is very high. Many may have practised a sport in the past and just want to brush up on their skills. Others have a coaching licence but do not have the time to offer regular training in a club.

The implementation

Interested parties can register on a website and, within six steps, enter all the information the team needs to bring together trainers and people interested in coaching.

The special feature

"It was important to us that the offer is free and that the inhibition threshold is as low as possible," says Anna. That's why they finance themselves through sponsors. The price for a training session, location and duration are then agreed upon by the two parties themselves.

The future

The idea has been in the making since October, and people have been able to register on the site since 1 January. The competition phase ends now, but the idea is not over yet. "We definitely want to set up a company," says Niclas. The three Spökos made the decision to do so after things got off to such a good start. They have already landed their first business partners and a cooperation agreement has also been signed with the health insurance company AOK. The "5-Euro-Business" competition was just the start.

Currently, about 50 trainers are registered and 25 sports are covered. "We are really happy with the feedback," says Anna. The budding sports economists know that fewer and fewer people are getting involved in sports clubs. That the inhibition threshold is high, too. "How cool would it be if people who haven't been active in sports for a long time could find their way back to a club through us," says Niclas.
