Bayreuth students receive the Vishay Technology Award for the 17th time
Engineering students Philipp Pohmann, Lars Hofmann and Jannik Dorsch have been awarded this year's Vishay Technology Prize.
Once again this year, three Bayreuth engineering students were honoured with the Vishay Technology Prize. This prize is awarded jointly by the company Vishay and the Bayreuth Faculty of Engineering to outstanding students. The prize emphasises the importance of engineering studies, especially for the local economy in Upper Franconia with its strong industry.
The three prize winners received handmade glass mementos and a total prize money of 4,000 euros. The prizes were awarded by the management of Vishay Electronic GmbH at a ceremony at Vishay's European headquarters in Selb. The Mayor of Selb, Ulrich Pötzsch, was also present at the award ceremony.
