Campusyoga Winter Edition - valuable time out

For this year's winter edition of Campusyoga, the University Health Management team was keen to do something good for students and employees and to escape the library or the daily work routine for one (or more) hours and recharge their batteries. Yoga as an opportunity for conscious relaxation.

In the premises of the Studentenwerk Oberfranken, the day began with a good-morning yoga to activate for the day. The meeting room was filled and every inch was covered with a mat. After the flow, the cafeteria team around Stefan Reuther fed the participants with delicious fresh smoothies and hot lemon.

Thirty-five participants showed up for the midday flow. With their backs strengthened and mobilised, they then enjoyed delicious tomato soup with pumpkin bread. A truly valuable break in the daily learning and working routine. During a breathing meditation, the participants were able to deepen their inner peace. They learned to dedicate 30 minutes of their daily routine to conscious breathing and to realise how fast the mental engine is constantly running.

The campus yoga day was concluded with a round of after-work yoga. The response to the after-work flow was once again overwhelming. With relaxed lighting and a snowy landscape outside, almost 70 people followed Verena Angermann's instruction. Another highlight was the supporting programme for the evening. Two solo musicians accompanied the final relaxation and the social gathering after the flow with wonderful sounds. Matthias Röttinger enchanted the participants with his electric guitar, while his partner Jonathan Neupärtl let extraordinary sounds resound in the room with guitar and voice. Delicious banana bread and hot apple juice with cinnamon rounded off the successful day in culinary terms.

The University Health Management team led by Dr. Philipp Laemmert would like to thank all participants: "Thanks to you, the day was a complete success. We would also like to thank the Studentenwerk Oberfranken for the excellent culinary accompaniment and the provision of the conference room, as well as the AOK Bayern, without whom such an event would not have been possible. Further thanks go to the Ecological-Botanical Garden for providing the room decorations, and to the Central Technology and Multimedia Lending Office for their great support. The biggest thanks go to the wonderful yoga teacher Verena and the two musicians Jonathan and Matthias, who made the day an unforgettable experience."

She said it was simply a pleasure to experience how a wide variety of areas help together for such an event to create valuable experiences in the daily study and work routine. There will definitely be a continuation of the campus yoga series in the summer.
