Celebrating staff anniversaries and retirements on 24 June 2020
In tribute: Every six months, Provost Dr. Markus Zanner invites long-standing employees and retirees to a small ceremony for coffee and cake.

Every six months, the Provost of the University of Bayreuth, Dr. Markus Zanner, invites long-standing employees to a ceremony at Central University Administration - for coffee, cake, and of course, for a good chat. On behalf of the Free State of Bavaria and personally, he regularly thanks employees who have worked in public service for 25, 40, or 50 years, and recognizes their achievements. Retired employees are also invited to these intimate celebrations.
On 24 June 2020, all those celebrating their staff anniversaries and retirement in the first half of 2020 were honoured at the University of Bayreuth.
