Concentrate and stay healthy during your studies with FlexYourMind
Increasing the ability to concentrate and the well-being of students at the University of Bayreuth through exercise while improving their mental and physical health - these are the goals of the FlexYourMind project. Students at the University of Bayreuth have created tips and exercises for this purpose, which are now available online.

“The lack of everyday movement - regardless of sport - and a lot of sitting can have a negative impact on the health of students in the university setting. For students, a high level of concentration and general well-being are also important in coping with everyday study life. Studies show that daily exercise and short periods of movement can contribute to an increase in concentration, performance and well-being. This is where the FlexYourMind project comes in,” says Felix Streble, Sports Economics M.Sc. Together with Julias Erhard, Jannik Tordera Schmid and Kai Theumer, who are also studying Sports Economics in the Master's program, he implemented the project as part of the seminar Health & Fitness Management: Implementation of Health Programs under the supervision of Dr. Jessica Helten.
FlexYourMind is a health-promoting measure that has already been developed by students for students in the overarching Students BeWegt 2.0 project at the University of Bayreuth and is now being continued as part of the seminar. The focus of FlexYourMind is particularly on increasing the ability to concentrate and the well-being of students within the library of the University of Bayreuth.
QR codes on flyers, displays as well as door and wall pictures direct visitors of the Central Library to the FlexYourMind website. The website offers tips and exercises in the areas of movement, mobilization & stretching, eye training and relaxation. The exercises on the website can be carried out at any time and as required.
