Large-scale musical event planned at the lake
It should be a really big spectacle: 70 orchestra musicians and 120 university choir singers will perform together.
This summer, the University Choir and the University Symphony Orchestra are working together to stage their joint Summer Concert by the Lake on 11 July in the amphitheatre next to the Audimax. A large audience is expected - but since it is an open-air concert, everyone is sure to find a seat. The choir board and the orchestra board put a lot of attention to detail into planning this event. The cooperation runs smoothly, and both boards benefit from each other's experience and ideas. Since the beginning of the summer semester, they have been busy organising and rehearsing, and the first joint rehearsal weekend at the end of June has already brought the choir and orchestra closer together. The audible progress is a great result, but above all the joy of music and the shared experience are in the foreground. A special feature this semester are the soloists who will enrich the concert.
The concert on 11 July begins at 7.30 pm and includes both joint pieces and individual performances by the choir and orchestra. The programme is varied and ranges from classical music to pop, so there should be something for everyone. All participants are full of anticipation and can hardly wait to present their work. The choir and orchestra look forward to spending the evening with you in the romantic atmosphere by the lake, accompanied by the sunset.
