Leon Janßen (Chairman of the Association), Andreas Zippel (2nd Mayor of Bayreuth) and Prof. Dr. Jochen Koubek (Honorary Member) cut the opening ribbon.

The opening marks a significant milestone for e-sports UBT (short for E-Sport United Bayreuth) and its members. The clubhouse, which was made possible by an interim use agreement of a room in the former Sparkasse bank, was created with the aim of further promoting e-sports culture and popular sport in the region through regular events and training sessions and using the premises as a social exchange point for club members and e-sports & gaming enthusiasts.

The E-Sport UBT e.V. is a non-profit association in the field of education that aims to promote e-sports, provide broad knowledge on the topic of e-sports and gaming and create a safe, inclusive and supportive community for all e-sports enthusiasts (whether pupils, trainees or students etc.) in Bayreuth and the surrounding area. The focus is not specifically on competition, but also on teaching skills and knowledge in e-sports in all respects, as well as promoting social contacts. The association firmly believes that e-sports as a social and cultural activity brings people together and connects them. It is committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of gender, origin or background, finds a place in the community and can develop.

Under the leadership of a dedicated board, E-Sport UBT offers its members a variety of training opportunities, organises regular tournaments and hosts exciting events for e-sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. The club places great emphasis on fair play, team spirit and teaching skills both in and out of the game.

"Our new clubhouse is a big step forward for e-sports UBT," says chairman Leon Janßen. "The clubhouse is intended to offer our members and the entire e-sports community in Bayreuth and Upper Franconia a central and protected place where they can live out their passion. At the same time, we want to underline the importance of e-sports in our region and create opportunities for joint activities and exchange."
