FoFamU Spotlights: New series of events for family businesses
In addition to research, a further focus of the Centre for Family Business at the University of Bayreuth (FoFamU) is the transfer of expertise to the corporate landscape. To this end, information and further education events for family businesses and entrepreneurial families are hosted regularly.
FoFamU-Spotlights
With FoFamU-Spotlights, the Centre for Family Business at the University of Bayreuth (FoFamU) 2020 has successfully established a new format in addition to the already existing series of events, such as the entrepreneurial dialogues carried out in cooperation with Betriebswirtschaftlichen Forschungszentrum für Fragen der mittelständischen Wirtschaft e. V.der Uni Bayreuth, BF/M (University of Bayreuth research centre for SME issues). Here, external speakers are invited to report on current developments that may be relevant to family businesses.
Previous topics have been "Internal company disputes and out-of-court solutions" with Reyhan Akar, lawyer and business mediator from Bad Homburg, and "Special regulations under contract and insolvency law in the coronavirus pandemic" with Dr. Christina Möllnitz from the German & European Consumer Law, Private Law & Comparative Law research group at the University of Bayreuth. The third FoFamU Spotlight took place on 03.11.2020. The lecture and discussion event revolved around the topic of "Coronavirus aid programmes of the Federal Government and the Free State of Bavaria". Guests were Nicole La Noutelle, Director of the Corporate Customers Division of Sparkasse Bayreuth and Johannes Siwik, Director of BayernLB's Development Business Department.
Following the positive response to the new format, it is planned to organise further Spotlights over the coming semesters.
