New modules on social entrepreneurship at the University of Bayreuth
As one of the first universities in Germany, the University of Bayreuth has included the topic of "Social Entrepreneurship" in its range of courses with a specially created junior professorship. On 1 September, in time for the 2021/22 winter semester, Dr Eva Alexandra Jakob assumed the junior professorship Social Entrepreneurship and will now offer seminars for master's students.
Social Entrepreneurship Cases
Social Entrepreneurship Cases: Analysing Social Businesses takes a concrete look at established social businesses and analyses them. Participants choose their own social business examples, analyse, and discuss them with the course. This seminar is conducted in English and is open to students of all faculties.

Social Entrepreneurship research seminar
The Social Entrepreneurship research seminar provides an introduction to social entrepreneurship, deals with the topic of "Teams in Social Entrepreneurship", and conducts experiments. The presentation of scientific papers by students is part of the course programme, as is the development of one's own experiment on social entrepreneurial teams.

Until recently it was considered a niche topic, but today social entrepreneurship is an important issue in business and society. "Among other things, we hope to make it easier for our students from all faculties to access the topic and motivate them for business models based on social issues such as migration, climate change, and social cooperation," says Prof. Dr. Eva Jakob. "I invite everyone to integrate this knowledge provided by GründerUni Bayreuth into their studies."
