The somewhat different UNIKAT 2020 and how it continues

Despite the cancellation of the event UNIKAT - Tropical due to the Covid-19 pandemic Musical. Culinary. 2020, which was held under the motto DISCOVER THE COLOURS OF NATURE, the organizing team of students made the best of the situation: Via online format and analog micro-activities.

On the social media channels you can find contributions to the categories tropical, musical and culinary, based on the 2020 motto. Idyllic impressions of the Ecological-Botanical Garden (ÖBG) are mixed with a colorful variety of recipes, atmospheric music and specials such as relaxation videos, body painting and much more. Furthermore, next year's event date has already been fixed: UNIKAT 2021 will take place on July 17, 2021! For this event, which is strongly influenced by the further course of the pandemic, Jessica Weismantel (MeKuWi student) and Tom Schrör (Spöko student) are already working behind the scenes as new main organizing team. Together with their almost complete organization team consisting of students from the University of Bayreuth, they are now facing a very exciting and extraordinary planning phase. With many creative minds, one thing is again guaranteed: This summer event will once again be an unforgettable UNIQUE!

A big thank you also goes to all the partners who made this form of implementation possible - all the caterers, musicians, artists, partners of the university and the city as well as the team members. We are extremely pleased that numerous sponsors have already given us their approval for the UNIKAT 2021 despite the current difficult circumstances.
