Children's University 2023 - a complete success in tropical temperatures
At the KinderUni 2023, the pleasantly air-conditioned Audimax was almost completely occupied on four dates
The topics of the KinderUni 2023 were very well received by the young visitors. The witches' cauldron, sun storms, sport is murder (?) and cleaning up robots met the taste of the children who flocked to the Audimax, the largest lecture hall at the University of Bayreuth, which was almost filled to capacity. Between 600 and 680 children attended each of the four lectures that professors at the University of Bayreuth had designed specifically for children.
The lectures were about:
Prof. Dr. Anna Schenk: The little witch is angry. The cheeky dwarf who bathes in her witch's cauldron also complains that it's too small for him. So she decides to simply shrink the dwarf, ideally to nano size.
Prof. Dr. Sascha Kurz: During solar storms, some information is lost or the message changes. QR codes with gummy bears are extremely popular.
Prof. Dr. Othmar Moser: Exercising is never a bad thing, and just 20 minutes of exercise a day can do a lot for your health.
Prof. Dr. Nicola Bilstein: A robot and a cleaning lady clean up. Conclusion: The robot does not understand every instruction correctly, which can lead to problems.
The accompanying program consisting of lectures and guided tours for the parents and those accompanying the children was also very well received.
