Following the first event in February, the discussion on difference at the university will enter a second round on 2 June. This time, the focus will be on racialisation, gender and class. These categories of difference also shape everyday life at the university as our place of learning and/or working. The event will critically explore the questions that go hand in hand with this.

Saraya Gomis, State Secretary for Diversity and Anti-Discrimination of the Berlin Senate Department for Justice, Diversity and Anti-Discrimination, and Celine Barry, a researcher on racism, feminism and intersectionality at the TU Berlin, have been secured as speakers.

The event, organised by Saumya Premchander and Eva Isselstein, is supported by the Equal Opportunities Staff Unit.

The event will take place online. To register, please send an email to eva.isselstein@uni-bayreuth.de or saumya.premchander@uni-bayreuth.de. You will then receive the zoom link by email in good time beforehand. Discussion languages are German and English, there will be a translation. If you need it, the organisers ask you to let them know in advance for better planning.

Everyone inside and outside the university who is interested in the topic is invited!
