Vorstandschaft des Alumnivereins

Management Board of the alumni association, from top left: Dr. Mario Kaiser, Jessica Helten, Jan Schönberner; below: Lars Griebel, Heiko Heidenreich.

Markus Buser, who has been a board member for many years, is retiring from his position for professional and private reasons. We would like to take this opportunity to expressly thank Markus for his tireless work and extraordinary commitment over the years!

Heiko Heidenreich and Lars Griebel have joined the board as new members. Both studied Sport, Business & Law Studies and are currently working as research assistants at the University of Bayreuth. “The alumni association makes an important contribution to maintaining and promoting the “Spöko” brand and our unique network. I am very pleased to now also be able to actively shape and develop Bayreuth Sport, Business & Law Studies as part of the board, together with my colleagues”, says Heiko Heidenreich. He is now responsible for membership management. Lars Griebel is also looking forward to his new position as Financial Officer: “As a board member of the alumni association, I would like to contribute in particular to maintaining and strengthening the “Bayreuther Sportökonomie” brand. Bayreuth’s Sport, Business & Law Studies is truly the benchmark in the sports industry – this status must be maintained in the future!”

Not only has the Management Board been restructured, but there has also been a change in the Finance Committee. This consists of a total of twelve voluntary members who studied Sport, Business & Law Studies at the University of Bayreuth. They support the projects of Sportökonomie e.V. with their expertise and provide insights into current practice.

As a long-standing member, Simon Trägner’s (VP Marketing & Sales at IUN World) departure has left a hole in the Finance Committee. A founding member, he has been instrumental in shaping the committee right from the beginning as Chairman thanks to his extraordinary commitment. Fortunately, Kathrin Glaser-Bunz (owner of the consultancy for occupational health management Beratung für Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement) is taking over a position on the Finance Committee. “With Kathrin Glaser-Bunz, we have gained an absolute expert in the field of occupational health management. Her passion for Sport, Business & Law Studies in Bayreuth is evident in her diverse collaborations with her alma mater. We remain true to our credo of setting up the committee to ensure the future of Bayreuth’s Sport, Business & Law Studies, and to keeping the competencies of its members as broad, relevant, and up-to-date as possible. Kathrin Glaser-Bunz raises our profile in the area of health enormously”, says Steffen Busch (Summit Sportmarketing). He has chaired the Finance Committee since 2020. The other members of the Finance Committee are: Rolf Beisswanger (beisswanger consulting), Heike Ullrich (DFB), Karin Lechner (Nine&One), Tobias Gröber (Messe München), Tobias Müller (Daimler), Robert Müller v. Vultejus (Sportfive), Karsten Bentlage (Sportfive), Christoph Macht (MLP), Benjamin Hoeneß (FC Bayern München), and Robert Zitzmann (JvM/sports).
