Focus on cooperation between business and university
As a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth, Clemens Dereschkewitz wants to tackle important issues for the future.
Among Kulmbach residents, Clemens Dereschkewitz is a familiar face, but the managing director of Glen Dimplex Deutschland GmbH is also no stranger to Bayreuth.
As a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth, he now contributes his expertise to the university. His expertise in the regional, but also international economy is particularly appreciated by his colleagues on the Board of Trustees. "Glen Dimplex is strong in the field of renewable energies and the University of Bayreuth also does very good work in this field. Sustainability is one of the important topics of the future," says Dereschkewitz. "My goal is to find pragmatic ways for the university and business to work together in the future."
The Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth currently has 20 members, the Chairman is Heribert Trunk, Managing Partner of BI-LOG Service Group GmbH. All members support the University in representing its interests. The members are appointed by the university management for a period of five years. The Board of Trustees was established in 2013.
