"I consider my appointment at the University of Bayreuth a great opportunity to bring the research area of International Political Economy to the University of Bayreuth and thus to expand the department of Political Science and International Relations. My own research will focus on the following four topics: Dispute Settlement in Trade Agreements, New Forms of Governance, Power in International Relations and International Cooperation and Institutions. It is a central concern of mine to help the University of Bayreuth establish an international presence in the field of global political economy, which is still being developed in Germany," emphasises Prof. Milewicz. "My many years of teaching experience at the University of Oxford, the birthplace of Politics, Philosophy & Economics, provides a good basis for further developing the already successful Bayreuth Philosophy & Economics degree programmes into innovative Politics, Philosophy & Economics degree programmes in cooperation with colleagues in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Bayreuth."
