Marion Resch-Heckel has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth

The Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth is made up of leaders from the worlds of business, culture, and government, and supports the University in representing its interests. Members advise and promote the University and work on an honorary basis.

Well-known in professional circles

One woman who has only been a member of the Board of Trustees for just over a year is Marion Resch-Heckel, former Head of the Planning and Construction Department at the Upper Franconia Regional Government, and previously Head of Department at the Bayreuth State Building Authority. She has had a decisive influence on the development of construction in Upper Franconia for decades. As First Vice President of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, she has also made a name for herself in professional circles.

Involved in the development of Campus Kulmbach

Today, Marion Resch-Heckel is actively involved in the development of the seventh faculty of the University of Bayreuth in Kulmbach. "The University of Bayreuth is an important institution for all of Upper Franconia. The initiative has been great in every respect - both the scientific reach far beyond Germany and the structural development are so impressive," says Resch-Heckel. "It is an honour for me to be involved in this.
